> The monastery of Panagia Ekatontapyliani, which translates to “Virgin Mary’s monastery with the hundred gates”, lies in the castle district of Parikia, and is one of the best preserved paleochristian monuments of the country.
> The monastery of Logovarda was built in the 1600s and displays an impressive architecture with beautiful frescoes, elaborate icons, and a rich library.
Archaeological sites
> The ancient marble quarries. Located in Marathi settlement, you can admire the remnants of this ancient site that generously produced first quality marble widely used by artists to create masterpieces like the Aphrodite of Milos and the Temple of Apollo in Delphi.
> The Mycenaean Acropolis of Paros. One of the most important archaeological sites of the island, the Acropolis dates back to the Neolithic period and nestles in the area of Koukounaries above Kolimvithres beach, crowning a hill, offering panoramic views.

> The Castle of Parikia built in 1260, is a significant monument of high architectural aesthetics where one can admire the remnants of the ancient temple of Demeter that once stood there.
